2016

Iryna Gurevych of the UKP Lab is co-organizing the 3rd Workshop on Argument Mining, to be held at ACL 2016 in Berlin.  Prof. Gurevych is also co-organizing the workshop's Special Track on Debating Technologies.

Richard Eckart de Castilho from the UKP Lab is co-organizing the workshop on Cross-Platform Text Mining and Natural Language Processing Interoperability at LREC 2016 in Portorož (Slovenia) on May 23rd 2016. 


2015

Iryna Gurevych of the UKP Lab co-organized "Debating Technologies", a five-day seminar held on 13 to 18 December at the Leibniz-Zentrum für Informatik in Dagstuhl.

Iryna Gurevych of the UKP Lab co-organized the 2nd Workshop on Argumentation Mining, which was held on 4 June 2015 at NAACL 2015 in Denver, Colorado.


2012

At ACL 2012 (Jeju, Republic of Korea, July 8-14, 2012), the UKP Lab (Iryna Gurevych and Jungi Kim) and Nicoletta Calzolari Zamorani (Istituto di Linguistica Computazionale, CNR) co-chaired the 3rd workshop on the People’s Web meets NLP: Collaboratively Constructed Semantic Resources and their Applications to NLP.

The UKP lab (Chris Biemann) co-organized the ROBUS-UNSUP 2012: Joint Workshop on Unsupervised and Semi-Supervised Learning in NLP together with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Omri Abend, Ari Rappoport), the University of Cambridge (Anna Korhonen) and the University of Copenhagen (Anders Søgaard). The workshop took place in conjunction with Opens external link in new windowEACL 2012, Avignon France April 23 - 27 2012.


2011

At ACL/HLT 2011 in Portland, Oregon, Chris Biemann (UKP Lab) co-chaired the Workshop and shared task on Distributional Semantics and Compositionality (DISCo 2011).

At RANLP 2011 in Hissar, Bulgaria, Chris Biemann (UKP Lab) co-chaired the Workshop on Robust Unsupervised and Semisupervised Methods (ROBUS 2011).



2009

At GSCL 2009 in Potsdam, the UKP Lab co-organized the 2nd UIMA@GSCL Workshop.

At ACL-IJCNLP 2009 in Singapore, the UKP Lab organized the workshop "The People's web meets NLP: Collaboratively Constructed Semantic Resources".
