I am a postdoctoral researcher and co-leader of the technology validation project ArgumenText funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), and an associated researcher of the interdisciplinary research training group AIPHES.

I hold a Diplom in Computer Science from the Technische Universität Darmstadt. From July 2009 to September 2013 I worked as a researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research (IGD) and joined UKP in October 2013. In February 2017, I successfully defended my PhD thesis on Argumentative Writing Support by means of Natural Language Processing.

Research Interests

  • Argument Mining
  • Machine Learning for NLP
  • Intelligent Writing Support
