The UKP system participated in the pilot
Semantic Textual Similarity (STS) task at the workshop series on
Semantic Evaluation (SemEval-2012), which will be associated with the new
*SEM, First Joint Conference on Lexical and Computational Semantics, and co-located with
NAACL, Montreal, Canada. The system uses a simple log-linear regression model, trained on the training data, to combine multiple text similarity measures of varying complexity. Our system performed best in two out of three metrics.
