DKPro
At the UKP Lab, we put a strong focus on developing the software that is the basis for our experiments in a re-usable manner. We call that body of software that we produce the Darmstadt Knowledge Processing Software Repository (DKPro). Within the last two years, parts of DKPro have been released to the public as open source products.
DKPro products
Several products have grown from our DKPro philosophy and have been released under an open source license to the public:
- DKPro Core - integration framework for NLP components
- DKPro Lab - parameter sweeping experiments framework
- DKPro Similarity - computation of similarity between texts of any length
DKPro Spelling - real-world spelling error correction- JOWKL - Java OmegaWiki API
- JWPL - Java Wikipedia API
- JWKTL - Java-based Wiktionary Library (open source release planned)
- UBY - large-scale lexical-semantic resource for NLP based on the ISO standard Lexical Markup Framework (LMF)
Team
The principal investigator is Prof. Dr. Iryna Gurevych.
Richard Eckart de Castilho is currently the technical lead.
DKPro is a shared project of all UKP to which all group members contribute.
